Edge bander repair and maintenance, at your shop.
Troubleshooting, repair, calibration and installation for European and Asian edge banding machines — from a senior technician with a B.Sc. in Electronics and 23+ years on these machines.
What I fix and set up
Electrical & control systems
PLC diagnostics, drives, servo and stepper systems, sensors, relays, motors and wiring faults.
Mechanical & pneumatic systems
Pneumatic circuits, valves and cylinders, glue systems, and precise mechanical adjustment of trimming and scraping units.
Electronic board repair
Board-level diagnosis and repair of control panels and circuit boards, including older models with hard-to-find parts.
Maintenance & installation
Preventive maintenance and calibration, plus installation and start-up of new or relocated machines.
Problems I solve every week
Control, safety-circuit, drive and PLC faults traced to the real cause.
Board-level repair, or a working replacement when original parts are gone.
Heating, glue application and pressure checked and set up properly.
Units adjusted and fine-tuned for a clean edge again.
Hoses, valves and cylinders found and fixed on site.
Panels detected, fed and processed the way the machine expects.
European machines, and Asian-made ones too
Don’t see your machine? Call anyway — if it is an edge bander or panel machine, chances are I have worked on something very close to it.
Real machines, real fixes
A failing display, no spare part — so we replaced it
The original monochrome displays on older Holz-Her edgebanders are failing, and the part is no longer available. Our adapter board lets a modern LCD show exactly what the original screen did — no change to the machine’s controller or software. Several are already running without issues on older Holz-Her machines, including units installed for customers and shipped to them. We are now developing a new version of the board from the ground up.

When the glue stops holding
Burnt, hardened glue is one of the most common reasons edges lift or a glue pot won’t reach temperature. I take the unit apart, clean it properly, check the heaters and sensors, and set the application back up so it holds again.

On site across Metro Vancouver

Hamidreza Rahimi (Mahyar)
I hold a B.Sc. in Electronics and have spent more than 23 years inside woodworking machines — most of it on edge banders, and more than twenty years on Holz-Her machines alone. I was factory-trained by Holz-Her in Germany and Austria and by Biesse in Pesaro, Italy, and was formerly with Coast Machinery Group (CMG).
Today I work independently, serving cabinet shops and furniture manufacturers across Metro Vancouver and British Columbia. I care more about a machine that keeps running and a customer who calls me again than about a quick job.
Frequently asked
Do you come to my shop?
Yes. The work is done on site, so the machine does not have to be moved. I cover Vancouver, Burnaby, Richmond, New Westminster, Coquitlam, Surrey, Delta, Langley and Abbotsford, and travel further in British Columbia by arrangement.
Which machines do you work on?
Edge banders from Holz-Her, Homag, Biesse, SCM, Felder, Cehisa, Bi-Matic, Cantek, Hebrock and similar makers, European and Asian-made. If it is an edge bander or another panel-processing machine, call and ask.
My machine is old and the parts are discontinued. Can it still be fixed?
Often, yes. Many faults can be repaired at board level, and for some common failures, such as the displays on older Holz-Her edge banders, I have working replacement solutions.
What should I tell you when I call?
The machine brand and model, what it is doing (or not doing), any error message on the screen, and when the problem started. A photo of the name plate and a short video of the fault help a lot.
Do you speak Farsi?
Yes. Farsi-speaking clients are welcome.
